• Represented a former member of the Bell City Council in her public corruption trial in 2013.
  • Successfully defended San Francisco Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi against the Mayor’s attempt to fire him for official misconduct.
  • Mr. Kopp won an acquittal at trial for Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Harvey Silberman, who was charged with the felony crime of offering money to a rival candidate to drop out of the judicial election.
  • Mr. Kopp represented actor/comedian Russell Brand after his arrest for battery on a paparazzi photographer, and persuaded prosecutors not to file any criminal charges.
  • Represented Stanley Howse, aka "Flesh-N-Bone" of the Grammy-winning group Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony. Mr. Kopp obtained a dismissal of the Three Strikes case.
  • Represented Michael Jackson in the Santa Barbara County felony prosecution in which Mr. Jackson was ultimately acquitted. Mr. Kopp prepared 100 pieces of exculpatory evidence which the District Attorney was compelled to present to the grand jury, and argued against a gag order being imposed by the trial court.
  • Represented actress Winona Ryder on her shoplifting prosecution in Beverly Hills, California.
  • Mr. Kopp has also represented hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, rap artists Nate Dogg and Loon, and others in the entertainment industry.
  • DUI Experience: Mr. Kopp has handled over 1000 DUI cases, most of which were resolved on favorable terms for his clients. Of the 45 DUI jury trials he has conducted, however, Mr. Kopp has won 41 of those cases.
